Now and then, every once in a very long while, every day in a million days, when the wind stands fair and The Doctor comes to call, everybody lives.

76 isn't a good score, is it? Or is it?

He is also vain, ego-centric and quite mad

Recent episodes of Doctor Who have been getting AIs of high 80s but compared to Classic DW, 76 represents a very good performance.

Those viewing figures are astonishing - I guess these were the days before Sky Plus and iPlayer had really taken hold.

I think more than that though, there was a huge amount of people who were fans before, and even those who weren't who would have tuned in to see if they could pull it off, how different or the same it was, would it fall on it's face or even just what the fuss was about, because it came back to a mass of promotion. It's understandably high. The AI should have been better though.

The small jump from overnights to officials makes me laugh, especially when you consider the 2m+ we see these days
