Here's one for the canon lovers/haters.

Assuming, based on the state of the planet, that this is set after the events of Remembrance, then how is Skaro even still there? We have already been told the planet was locked in the Time War but yet the Doctor managed to get in. Perhaps the Daleks rebuilt on another planet, or maybe Remembrance has been bumped out of canon. Either way it's sort of inconsistent.

I was happy to see it back though.

I believe some of the non-canon stories have suggested Skaro wasn't destroyed as completely as the Doctor assumed.  I've always had a sneaking suspicion that the state of Skaro in Evil of the Daleks, where it looked even more desolate than it usually does, is the result of it getting scorched, and that Davros had returned and established himself as emperor in a fixed frame.

Is it ever said that Skaro itself was time-locked?  Probably, but I can't actually remember that being specified.

I seem to remember Nine saying something about Skaro and Gallifrey and the whole time war being locked. I might be misremembering though.

I thought it was cool to see it on screen. That was a first for me aside from The Daleks.

At least, I think it was.

Genesis and Destiny are set there too - I don't know if you've seen either.  The only other one is Evil, which is lost.

Having it there was sort of illogical. There were loads of reasons from other stories to say why it shouldn't be but I loved that it was. I love a bit of canon but to have Skaro back on screen I'm willing to turn a blind eye.
