I was pretty impressed with them I have to say.

Especially Tricie (?) - loved her chasing the golf balls & the bit where she dropped it next to Rory ... aw  Cheesy Gutted when she was shot  Cry

What did you think of them?

I was really surprised at just how good they looked. DW, even since 2005 has handed us some really ropey effects but these looked amazing. No wonder Moffat kept going on about blowing the budget on this episode.

You don't often see shows of this nature in the UK with graphics and CGI as good as what I saw this evening. I was really surprised by the level of detail and just how good it looked.

I was also really sad when the Triceratops got shot Sad

Definitely better than in Invasion of the Dinosaurs Cool

Seriously, I thought they were great.  My one query was that, if they'd been on the ship for that long, why weren't there a lot, lot more of them?

Well in fairness a six year old holding his toy dinosaurs in front of a camera would have been better than the effects in that story Grin

I thought that was how it was made.

They looked great. I couldn't help comparing it to IOTD and laughing to myself. If only Pertwee or Elisabeth Sladen could see this!

I couldn't believe how good they looked. I saw a grainy trailer where the effects didn't look very good and it sort of lowered my hopes, but when I saw the episodes I was stunned by just how good it looked. Best effects I've seen in the show so far I think.

With this and the western next week, there seems to be a trend (two episodes make a trend, right? Cool) of revisiting ideas the classic series did badly.
