This book is due for release on October 14th. It is written by Michael Moorcock. He will be signing copies in Forbidden Planets main London store on October 21st between 18:00 and 19:00. Here is a synopsis.

'There are dark tides running through the universe...' Miggea - a star on the very edge of reality. The cusp between this universe and the next. A point where space-time has worn thin, and is in danger of collapsing...And the venue for the grand finals of the competition to win the fabled Arrow of Law. The Doctor and Amy have joined the Terraphiles - a group obsessed with all aspects of Earth's history, and dedicated to re-enacting ancient sporting events. They are determined to win the Arrow. But just getting to Miggea proves tricky. Reality is collapsing, ships are disappearing, and Captain Cornelius and his pirates are looking for easy pickings. Even when they arrive, the Doctor and Amy's troubles won't be over. They have to find out who is so desperate to get the Arrow of Law that they will kill for it. And uncover the traitor on their own team. And win the contest fair and square. And, of course, they need to save the universe from total destruction.'

Now and then, every once in a very long while, every day in a million days, when the wind stands fair and The Doctor comes to call, everybody lives.

I just got this today. Got it for £9.99 in town and ive already started getting tucked in. Ive done about 20 pages so far and its brilliant already. Moorcock gets right in with the action. Think I will probably be finished in a couple of days. Its a pageturner so far. I just hope it keeps up the momentum

I have never read a Doctor Who novel before. Are they worth looking in to? The synopsis of this sounds cool

Some of them are really good. Others, not so much. I suppose it comes down to the type of story you like. You know you like the general premise, so I guess you should just try some out and see which ones are for you Smiley

Is it worth a read? I've bought it, but haven't got round to reading it yet.
