Can't recall if any of the previous dalek sets had redone voices... as I said on another post comparing black and white to today, the voices of the classic were far less over the top. Either way, looking foward to another classic and the start of season 9.

Great news! One that I've never seen but really want to.
As for the new effects/voices, that's fine as long as the original versions are on there too. While it's always interesting to see what little improvements they can make with today's technology, I can be a bit of a purist at times and like to watch them as they were originally made.

It's odd that they have decided to dub the Daleks. Do you think they will just clean up the audio, or make them sound more like the new series?

Time for another 'oh my goodness' dance around the living room. I bought this story on VHS as a complete (i.e. 90 minute) story back in 1987 and it was and still is a real favourite of mine. I adore Pertwee as the Doctor and this really showcases his skill as an actor and a leading man. It has the magnificent Aubrey Woods as the quisling controller and something that modern watchers of Who will find something of a curio - a purpose and menace behind the Daleks! Its a corking, copper bottomed classic

I perhaps even did it myself by accident. When I saw the lock I thought maybe people had started fighting over the serial or something

Never seen that serial, but now I want to. I loved the music... even though it was a low-quality remake of a battlestar galactica song called Prelude to War by bear mccreary. (Hopefully he knows about it ) either way, music fits the trailer perfectly. And the cgi addition, I don't have a problem with anymore.

Ive never watched any classic episodes, but I thought I would watch that trailer and it actually looks quite good. If I ever get around to watching old episodes, it probably wont be for a long time though. Thats not what I expected it to be like though
