It has been announced that the 2012 Christmas ep (which I will not name as some people think titles are spoilers) is to be broadcast at 5.15pm on BBC1 on Christmas Day.

I don't know about you, but that seems a little bit too early to me. Certainly I won't be able to watch it 'live' as I will be visiting family then & won't be able to watch it uninterrupted.

Wasn't it on at 6 or 7 last year?

What are your thoughts on this? (if you have any!)

I'm always away for Christmas and have to record it and watch it when I get home (assuming the **!!** recording system actually works - otherwise, wait for the repeat) so it's fairly academic for me.  Mind you, that's the show's original broadcast time - maybe it's something to do with the anniversary  Cool

Does seem pretty early, but that time works better for me mainly cause when it's a bit later it generally interrupts "family present time" and "dinner" (but not christmas dinner). But I guess it won't matter as much this year with my little cousins not being there. Will make it easier to sneak away and watch Smiley

5:15pm is too early. It should be 7pm. This does not have the feel of a show that is the "centrepiece" of the BBC schedule.
