NINE

Nyssa

Nyssa is one of those companions that started off with so much promise but quickly fell into the 'scream and run' mould of nearly all that came before her. Her initial story introduced her with a great background and so much potential was added at the end with the death of her father and they could have really played this out throughout her time on the show. Seeing how copes with the loss of her planet and the fact there is a madman running around wearing her fathers face. Unfortunately, most of this was quickly swept away and overlooked. But every now and then there would be a glimmer of something special. She was a companion during a time when the TARDIS was very crowded, but whenever we found her alone or alone with the Doctor we would get glimpses of just how good a character she was and exactly what she was capable of. She was never fully realised on the show, which is a shame, but I thought she was pretty cool anyway.

Oh my god Karen, you can't just ask someone why they're white!
