I wasn't keen on this aspect of the story. I'm glad they haven't touched upon it again. I get the point, sort of, but it just wasn't needed and it looked sort of silly at the end when he got sucked into the Doctor's body and then he became him before becoming Five. It just didn't need to happen. It would have been far more effective to go from one to the other, I think.

I thought it was sort of nice, actually, although I don't think the Doctor should have had any interaction with it. I liked that he was sort of there watching over himself and even helping himself through. It's quite spiritual. I just think they shouldn't have had them talking, essentially telling him what was happening. I always thought it was a sort of inspiration for what Ood Sigma was doing for Ten in his last couple of episodes.

I agree with the above comment. It was sort of nice. Not something I think should be a part of every regen, but it didn't hurt here.

I liked the concept of this, I just didn't like the stodgy graphics when he morphed down into the Doctors face.

It was an interesting idea, but I've always felt they should have developed it a bit more if they were going to use it. Not exactly explained it, but given a bit more idea of how it worked, though I'm not sure how that could have been done. I did think that "So the Watcher was the Doctor all the time" was a bit of a sudden leap.

Exactly. The only reason I worked out what it was was through the bonus features. At first I just put it down to one of those things I just didn't understand.

The explanation for it could have been better, but as an idea I think it was an interesting way to go.

There's just not enough explanation for it, I don't think. The idea isn't a bad one, but it felt like an afterthought rather than something that was planned beforehand. It would have been more excited if it had been seeded through a couple of stories leading up to this one.
