Jackie Tyler: I said there were ghosts, but that's not fair. Why him?
Pete Tyler: I'm not a ghost.
Jackie Tyler: But you're dead. You died 20 years ago Pete.
The Doctor: It's Pete from a different universe. There are parallel worlds, Jackie. Every single decision you make creates a parallel existence, a different dimension where...
Jackie Tyler: Oh you can shut up.... You look old.
Pete Tyler: You don't.
Jackie Tyler: How could you be standing there?
Pete Tyler: I just got lucky. I lived my life. You were left on your own. You didn't marry again, or...?
Jackie Tyler: There was never anyone else. Twenty years though, look at me, I never left that flat. Did nothing with myself.
Pete Tyler: You brought her up. Rose Tyler. It's not bad.
Jackie Tyler: Yeah.
Pete Tyler: In my world it worked. All those daft little plans of mine, it worked. Made me rich.
Jackie Tyler: I don't care about that. How rich?
Pete Tyler: Very.
Jackie Tyler: I don't care about that. How very?

There are worlds out there where the sky's burning, where the sea's asleep, and the rivers dream.  People made of smoke and cities made of song.  Somewhere there's danger.  Somewhere there's injustice.  And somewhere else the tea is getting cold.  Come on, Ace, we've got work to do.
Seventh Doctor, Survival (the last line of the classic series)

Logic, my dear Zoe, merely enables one to be wrong with great authority.
Second Doctor, Wheel in Space

Romana: Where are we going?
Doctor: Are you speaking philosophically or geographically?
Romana: Philosophically, of course.
Doctor: Then we're going to lunch.

Fourth Doctor & Romana II, City of Death (from memory - it may not be word-perfect).

THE DOCTOR: They don't know what it is. Vesuvius is just a mountain to them, the top hasn't blown off yet. The Romans haven't even got a word for volcano. Not until tomorrow.
DONNA: Oh, great, they can learn a new word. As they die.
THE DOCTOR: Donna, stop it.
DONNA: Listen, I don't know what sort of kids you've been flying round with in space, but you're not telling me to shut up. That boy, how old is he? Sixteen? And tomorrow, he burns to death.
THE DOCTOR: And that's my fault?
DONNA: Right now, yes.

During all the years I’ve been taking care of you, you in return have been taking care of me. You are still my grandchild and always will be. But now, you’re a woman too. I want you to belong somewhere, to have roots of your own. With David you will be able to find those roots and live normally like any woman should do. Believe me my dear, your future lies with David and not with a silly old buffer like me. One day, I shall come back. Yes, I shall come back. Until then, there must be no regrets, no tears, no anxieties. Just go forward in all your beliefs and prove to me that I am not mistaken in mine. Goodbye Susan. Goodbye my dear.

I watched Horror of Fang Rock last night (yes I watched Classic Who - going to try to do a lot of that this year! But I digress ...) & this simple little exchange made me laugh.

Leela: Are you alright Doctor?
4th Doctor You singed my scarf!

Not an epic, game changing line to be sure but I thought it was great nonetheless  Smiley

These are my faves from the meanwhile in the TARDIS extra!

Amy: Oh, voice-locked. So I would just have to say "Show me all visual records of previous TARDIS inhabitants."
Doctor: No. No, no, no. I mean voice-locked. I would have to say, "Show me all visual records of previous TARDIS inhabitants."
Amy: Oh, thank you.

Doctor: Thanks. Thanks, dear. Miss out the metal dog why don't you?

I love these!! Cheesy

This song is ending, but the story never ends.
Ood Sigma - The End of Time Part 2.

'What else you got? Laser spanner?'
'I did, but it was stolen by Emily Pankhurst, cheeky woman.'

Martha and Ten - Smith and Jones.

He's like fire and ice and rage. He's like the night and the storm in the heart of the sun. He's ancient and forever. He burns at the centre of time and can see the turn of the universe. And... he's wonderful.

Everytime the TARDIS materializes in a new location, within the first nanosecond of landing, it analyzes its surroundings, calculates a 12 dimensional data map of everything within a 1000 mile radius, and determines which outer shell would blend in best with the environment... and then it disguises itself as a Police Telephone Box from 1963

Then it's the most brilliant piece of astro-gravitational engineering I've ever seen.  The concept is simply staggering.  Pointless, but staggering.
