Inter Minor
Inter Minor is a planet whose roughly humanoid population has a rigid social structure, divided into an elite class and the voiceless Functionaries. They are traditionally reclusive, and the arrival of a carnival sideshow team with a miniscope sparks off a crisis that leads to a nearly successful coup.

Jamie McCrimmon
Jamie McCrimmon was a Highland Scot from the mid-18th century who travelled with the Second Doctor, Polly Wright, Ben Jackson, Victoria Waterfield and Zoe Heriot. He also had a couple of adventures with Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart as well as the Sixth Doctor and Peri Brown.
Jamie travelled in the TARDIS for a large portion of the Doctor's second life. His journeys through time and space began not long after the Doctor's first regeneration and continued until the Time Lords sentenced the Doctor to exile on Earth. Jamie was returned to 18th century Scotland by the Time Lords, with the memory of all but his first adventure with the Doctor erased.

Litefoot
Professor George Litefoot was a distinguished Victorian pathologist, who spent much of his childhood in China. By 1889, he was often assisting the Metropolitan Police with autopsies. In the course of one such case, he encountered the Doctor and Leela, and helped them to put a stop to the plans of the 51st century war criminal Magnus Greel, who is masquerading as the Chinese god Weng-Chiang. During this case, Litefoot had struck up an unlikely friendship with the music-hall manager Henry Gordon Jago, and the pair subsequently solved a string of paranormal mysteries together.

Nestene Consciousness
The Nestenes form a gestalt consciousness made up of many separable parts, a certain number of which can form into a viable being. They have the ability to control plastic, their usual weapons being human-shaped plastic figures called Autons. They thrive best in a poluted atmosphere.
The Nestenes have attempted to invade Earth at least three times, when they were thwarted by the Third Doctor (twice) and the Ninth Doctor. They also conspired with a number of allies, including Daleks, Cybermen and Sontarans, to trick the Eleventh Doctor into the Pandorica, an act that unwittingly caused the temporary destruction of the universe.

Pluto
Pluto is an object in the outer Solar System, discovered in 1930 by Clyde Tombaugh. Originally classed as the ninth planet, it has subsequently been discovered to be too small for a genuine planet. In 2006, it was reclassified as a dwarf planet, or plutoid.
In spite of this, it was terraformed and colonised in the distant future, after Earth and Mars had become uninhabitable, by the creation of a number of artificial suns orbiting it, and was used as effectively a slave colony by the Usarians, where the entire culture is based around the need to pay exorbitant taxes. The Usarian Company is finally overthrown by a revolution led by the Doctor, and the liberated inhabitants plan on returning to Earth.

The Quest for the Key to Time
This was when, back in 1976 the white guardian charged the Doctor to track down the different parts of the Key to Time. He traveled around with Romana, a time lady, and collected the different pieces. This story took up a full season, and the Doctor was fighting for the universe, in a battle between good and evil!

Rose Tyler
Rose was born in 1987 - her father was killed in a road accident when she was a baby, and she was brought up on a council estate by her mother, Jackie. After meeting the Doctor and helping him defeat the Nestenes, she travelled with him for some time, although frequently coming home to visit her mother and her on-off boyfriend Mickey. After absorbing the TARDIS's matrix, she became the "Bad Wolf", destroying the Dalek fleet and their emperor and leaving clues for herself throughout history. To save her from the consequences, the Doctor was forced to regenerate.
Rose was eventually trapped in an alternative universe, in which her father was still alive, but managed to return to help the Doctor defeat the Daleks again and prevent them from destroying all reality. He had to return her there afterwards, but with an inadvertently created human copy of himself, and we assume she lived out her life there with the Tenth Doctor mk 2.

Sisters of the Infinite Schism
The Sisters of the Infinite Schism was, according to the Eleventh Doctor, "the greatest hospital in the universe."
Amy Pond, Rory Williams and the Eleventh Doctor took River Song there to recuperate after she had sacrificed her powers of regeneration for the Doctor. They left her in the hospital because, while she was at that point, well known to Amy and Rory for most of their lives, under the name Mel, she was much younger than the River whom the Doctor had yet known. Upon leaving the hospital, River would start her education in archaeology, setting her on a path to rejoining the Doctor for the adventures he had already experienced.

Thals
The Thals were a human-like race native to the planet Skaro. They fought a long war against fellow-inhabitants of the planet called Kaleds (sometimes called Dals) which resulted in the near-destruction of both races. A small group of Thals developed a non-aggressive farming life, but when the Daleks, mutant descendents of the Kaleds, tried to destroy them, the Thals overcame their dislike of violence and defeated them. They subsequently developed a civilisation capable of space travel with defensive capabilities, though they still weren't an aggressive people, and managed to help the Doctor put paid to the Daleks' invasion force on the planet Spiradon.
At a later period, the Daleks were once more in control of Skaro, and the fate of the Thals is uncertain, although they may have colonised other planets by then.

Underworld
Underworld was the fifth story of Season 15 of Doctor Who. It was the first over which script editor Anthony Read had complete creative control. Read asked writers Bob Baker and Dave Martin to make the script an explicit allegory of the myth of Jason and the Quest for the Golden Fleece.
Underworld used by far the most colour separation overlay (CSO) in the programme's history. Rampant inflation had eaten away at the budget for the back half of the season and using CSO to create virtually every shot of the alien world featured in the story was the only feasible way to preserve the production of The Invasion of Time. The story also advanced the mythos of the Time Lords by explaining the origin of their non-interference policy.

Victory of the Daleks
Victory of the Daleks was the third episode of the fifth series of BBC Wales Doctor Who. In it, the Eleventh Doctor met for the first time both the Daleks and Winston Churchill, having met each before in past incarnations. Like Daleks in Manhattan before it, it involved the last Daleks in the universe desperately trying to rebuild the Dalek race in a famous period of Earth's recent past.
The episode was notable for its redesign of the Daleks into multi-coloured units, each with its own specific function.

Wilfred Mott
Wilfred Mott was the husband of Eileen Mott, (PROSE: Beautiful Chaos) the father of Sylvia Noble and the maternal grandfather of Donna Noble. He was also a one-time travelling companion of the Tenth Doctor, and the final companion the Doctor would travel with in that incarnation. Unlike many of the people of Earth, Wilfred was willing to believe aliens would come in peace one day, and that humanity would eventually travel out to the stars and mingle with them. A witness to several alien invasions of Earth in 2009, he was instrumental in stopping the Time Lords' return from within the time-lock which had sealed them in the Last Great Time War. In that effort, he trapped himself in a chamber about to be flooded with lethal radiation. His rescue was the proximate cause of the Doctor's regeneration into his eleventh incarnation.

Xeros
The planet Xeros, galaxy unknown, is the home to an indigenous human-type race who were conquered by the militaristic Morok Empire. Most of the population have been either killed or shipped off as slaves, and the planet has been made home to the Moroks' Space Museum - a highly impressive institution which, unfortunately, is rarely visited, due to the Moroks' unsavoury reputation.
A small group of young Xerons have been left on the planet, who have formed themselves into an ineffective resistance group. Hoever, the arrival of the Doctor, Ian, Barbara and Vicki (especially Vicki) galvanises them into action. They destroy the Morok garrison and retake the planet. Whether they actually manage to remain independent again the might of the Morok Empire isn't recorded.
