So many of the good ideas are taken and I didn't want to do something that's already done, so today I bring you the first of my WTF moments from Doctor Who.
Some of them are good WTF moments, like when something awesome comes that you totally didn't expect and some of them will be bad WTF moments, like 'why the hell did that just happen'. There is more than enough material to do ten of each but for now this will be mixed. It would be cool to see one of each though if anyone wants to take that up?

10Regenerating Kids I start off with a good WTF! I remember when The Impossible Astronaut/Day of the Moon aired I was really pleased with how awesome it was, but that scene at the very end when the girl came out of the alley and started glowing, my jaw hit the floor. I wasn't expecting it at all and it was brilliant. It wasn't paid off in the way I had hoped and it still doesn't entirely make sense, but that sort of adds to its WTF! nature. It's even more deserving of a WTF! moment due to the fact that the Doctors regeneration at the beginning of the story, which also should have been WTF! moment, was ruined by the BBC, yes that's the company that makes the show, releasing spoilery pictures of it the day before, upsetting both Moff and many fans. Tut tut.

I still can't believe the BBC did that. So stupid. The girl regenerating though definitely deserves a place.

What made it even funnier though is all of Moffs ranting in the weeks leading up to it about spoilers and not being real fans if you see/share them, and then the BBC leak the biggest spoiler going The girl regenerating took me by surprise. It's one of those great moments where you just don't see it coming. I love spoilers, but when something like that happens it makes me glad I had no idea it was coming.

Definitely a WTF moment for me. Or at least an OMG moment. I never saw it coming and that is always the best part. I love being surprised, but I still hunt for spoilers.

I was gobsmacked when this happened. It was obviously Amy's kid but it threw a lot of people off the scent that it was River because we all 'knew' she wasn't a Timelord. Moff did good with this one.

All of this. More OMG than WTF, but still awesome.

This was a great scene and a brilliant finish to the opening story, pretty much pulling the viewers back for the following week. I didn't see it coming and that just made it better.

The scene is great and it was definitely a shock when it happened, but I think that there are lots of other WTF moments that would make my list before this one.

9Rose Returns I don't know about everyone else, but Rose coming back in Partners of Crime was a total shocker for me. When that blond girl turned around and we got to see who it was I remember being so gobsmacked! I really didn't expect to see her again. Unlike a lot of people, I wasn't against her return at all and while it did take away from her exit a little, I was happy to have the character back. Even if she did later forget how to talk.

I'd heard whispers of her return, but much like the yearly returns of the Rani, Susan, Adric and the Fourth Doctor I expected the same outcome. Zip! When she showed up I was like

I wasn't keen on having her come back. Actually, I didn't mind that so much, it was this 'super companion' status that sort of came along with it. Rose was great, but there was this weird feeling in the show that she was the be-all and end-all and nobody would ever quite live up to her. Thankfully that's gone with RTDs departure.

I think this would have made more of an impact with me if I hadn't watched the first four series in about 2 weeks. I didn't have those years of waiting for her return. It was still a shock, but I think the impact was lessened.

Total WTF moment for me! I loved it! Because at the time Rose was still my fav and I really missed her.
In retrospect I sort of which she hadn't come back, but not really. She's still awesome. And that moment was an awesome twist.
