This photograph is doing the rounds all over the internet, mostly because of the fact there is no mention of 2013 having a Christmas Special. As far as I can remember nothing has been confirmed already for this year and this is possibly why. The photo was taken at yesterdays toyfair. It also has the anniversary special down as just 60 minutes as apposed to the 90 that was rumoured a while back. No idea what Doctor Who revisited is though.

Thoughts?

I read somewhere (don't know if it's true) that the 'Revisited' thing is where BBC America are airing classic episodes.

Well that is what I thought, too, but they are showing whole stories from each Doctor. They would have to air a two parter at the very least and with adverts that would make them at least an hour. I think they showed The Aztecs for Doc1 and that's a 4 parter.

That is a puzzler then. 25 mins would be about right for Classic eps too. Maybe they got the numbers wrong? I should say - I do want it to be something new for everyone though.

Unless perhaps it's something that accompanies the old stories? A bit like a 25 minute retrospective or something? Either about the specific story they just showed or about that particular Doctor. BBC America have made stuff like that before haven't they? About companions and stuff like that that we haven't gotten in the UK.

Yeah they have. You might be onto something there.

Well whatever it is, I want to see it. I hate when we don't get stuff over here. I'll have to find out for sure and see about downloading it.

Still though, the mystery of Christmas remains

The revisited episodes are sort of 'talking heads' specials that will air after every classic story discussing that particular Doctors tenure on the show.

As for Christmas, I don't doubt that we will get an episode then, though perhaps it wasn't on the list because it hasn't been confirmed, whereas everything else on there is sort of public knowledge.

The important word to focus on in that picture is 'includes'. Usually when someone writes something like that they are not giving a full list but rather an outline.

Wise words. The things on the list aren't new. They have already been announced to the public. That doesn't mean it's ALL there is, just all we already knew about.

Well now you're just letting common sense get in the way of some good fan ranting and speculation Tongue

Anyone know where I can get a download of the revisited episodes? I can't find one and they won't be airing here. PM me if you do Smiley

Didn't Matt already confirm he is doing Christmas this year? I don't imagine they would scrap it.

I agree with this. Why would they reveal everything nearly a year in advance? All the stuff that is on that poster is stuff that we already knew about so makes no difference if it is on there. The rest will be announced when the time is right. Probably in the big gap we'll be getting between the end of S7 and the anniversary.
