It's been so long since I read this book. I lost my copy a few years back and had to buy another. I whizzed through it again and then stopped half way through the second book and haven't gone back. That was about 3 or 4 years ago now. I need to read them all again.

I've read this book so many times, and I'm in the middle of yet another reread (hopefully of the whole series, if I find the time!).

She has such an amazing writing style and the introduction to the wizarding world in this book is just awesome.

I've seen the movie so many times, but I've not re-read this since it came out. I really should. I think I only got up to the 4th or 5th book so I have to get and read them all.

Just finished my re-read of this. I've decided that I've seen the film too many times as I found myself quoting the film at times!

Haha you mean quoting the book Wink It's sort of nice that a lot of the dialogue from the film is taken word-for-word from the book, but then I think too literal an adaptation hurt the film (or at least CoS anyway). Sorry if that doesn't make sense lol - basically the film isn't the best

I've read this about 10 times now. Not because I think it is the best or anything, but because I keep meaning to do a full re-read of the series and never managing it. As a result I keep starting again and re-reading this one and then stopping again. I don't think I've made it past the third book in about 4 years of trying.

I just finished this again as I start yet another reread. Unlike you Sparky I do get round to them though Grin Maybe try starting with Book 4? Otherwise you'll forget all that amazing stuff the films don't feature.
