Again another 3 from me. It was a great introduction to the Ice Warrior for those of us who haven't come across them in any episodes before. I enjoyed the episode but I haven't felt any need to go back and watch it again.

I gave it a four.  I thought it was an excellent story and a good reappearance by the Ice Warriors, but I found the ending a bit rushed (in common with most of the stories in this series).  I'm not going to bother with a Reappearances thread this time - it's pretty obvious.

If it was any other alien I think I would have rated this higher, but the return of the Ice Warriors needed something better so my vote is a 2, because I was 'not impressed'. The story was rushed, the claustrophic feel they were aiming for didn't really work for me either, it just felt small, and I think they tried to use the 'Dalek' formula, but it was nowhere near as good as that episode. Should have been so much better. Should have been left in the hands of a better writer.

4 from me. I liked the era and a lot of the characters. I thought the dialogue was mostly good and it was great to have the Ice Warriors back, however I do think they should have had something more showy for their return.

3/5. I don't know what I was expecting, but that wasn't it. It had it's enjoyable moments and it had a fair bit of stuff that I didn't like. 3 seems fair

I've gone with a 4. It was my first proper Ice Warrior experience (barring their appearance in the Peladon films) and I thought they did a good job. I enjoyed the story, the scares were balanced with humour and everyone acted really well.

Just a 3 from me for this one, and that feels generous. Very little of this story was original and it just didn't live up to expectations. Such a shame.

4/5 for me and Gatiss's best episode since The Unquiet Dead. I couldn't help but view this episode in the context of what had gone before. I felt series 7b had not had a defining moment and we were up to episode 3 so I was worried what this might be like. I needn't have worried. Yes, it was a little safe, using a very well established 'base under siege' motif. But it kept my attention, it had a wonderfully claustrophobic feel and I am a sucker for anything Cold War related. The supporting cast was very good (I did think they lost the opportunity for some tension by killing off Stepashin too early) with Liam Cunningham and David Warner doing a superb job. I liked the realisation of the Ice Warriors and the way they ultimately confounded our expectations by being merciful. To me, this was much closer to Classic Who than we had seen for some time and was all the better for it.

Something about this didn't sit right with me and I am not entirely sure what it is. It could be the script or the characters or the story, I'm not sure, but I just wasn't feeling it. It wasn't bad, but it just wasn't my thing.

I've given this a score of 3/5.

I love that they brought the Ice Warriors back and I liked the redesign (but I don't think they should have done that CGI crap under the armour). I think the story fell a bit flat at times, though it did have a nice classic feel to it. I think a lot of the tension and claustraphobia was lost due to the fact the submarine was bigger on the inside than the TARDIS, which made it feel like they could just keep running and running. Some bits of the story were obviously lifted from other episodes, such as Dalek, and some of the writing was ok at best, but there were redeeming features too, like the old scientist guy and the ending where the TARDIS was at the other pole. I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it either.

3 again from me. I wanted more from this story but it just didn't live up to expectations, unfortunately.
