Hide is potentially my least favourite story in this season. I really wasn't impressed with it and haven't had any desire to watch it again, and I think it will probably stay that way for a while.

I enjoyed it, although I wasn't keen on the ending. I gave it a four.

This episode is a source of immense frustration for me. The first 39 minutes are really very good (very reminiscent in style and content to 'Nigel Kneale's "The Stone Tapes"). I think the casting was lovely - Dougray Scott and Jessica Raine were wonderful counterparts for the Doctor and Clara. When Doctor Who sets its mind to it, it can be genuinely scary and this has all the hallmarks of a classic ghost story.
And then they go and totally ruin it with the ending, removing all sense of peril and risk from the Tardis first journey into the pocket Universe. But, for 39 minutes of reasonably well-crafted writing, I gave it 3/5

This could have gotten full marks from me but the end of it just got ridiculous. The rest of it was really good though.

I've gone with 4/5. I missed it on transmission and didn't get to watch it until about midnight so the atmosphere was perfect. I thought the plot was strong but another 'love saves the day' style ending was unnecessary, I think. I liked the characters and the setting was brilliant too. There were some bits where it fell a bit slow and I think ten minutes could have been shaved off, but otherwise I was happy with it.

I found the first half of this story pretty cool, but the second half a bit weak. The ending wasn't very good and it all felt worked out a bit too fast. I've scored it 3/5

I've gone with a 4. This story had it's faults but it was the most consistently good story since the series returned from its mid season break.

3/5 from me. It's not a terrible story and some parts were great, but nothing about it made me particularly excited. It's nothing we haven't seen before.

3/5. The plot started well but dragged on and then the ending was poor.

I've given this 4/5. Had it not been for the slightly naff ending I'd have probably given it full marks. For the most part I enjoyed it and it was one of the stronger stories of the second half of the season.

I watched this again this evening on BBC3 and I'm not too sure why I went with 2... I'm thinking that maybe I should have gone for a 3 or maybe even a 4. I enjoyed it more on rewatch than the first time I watched, but it still isn't brilliant and still won't get 5, purely because of the ending.
