Looks like we will be getting one.

The playwright Mark Ravenhill posted on Twitter yesterday:

"Phonecall from researcher for BBC 50years of Dr Who prog. I talked for an hour, she said 'I really have to go now'. Just getting started .."

He's known as a big fan of the show and has made contributions to extras in the past. So it seems there is other stuff in the pipeline after all.

This was meant to be in the spoiler section. Could someone move it please? Thanks Smiley

Done Smiley

Also, this is great news. It's the most obvious type of show to expect on an important anniversary, so I was surprised there was no news of one.

We just have to hope that it's for the UK and not the US. The retrospective shows they have made to accompany each classic serial they are showing in the US has had so much work put into them. They have interviews with the old cast, the new cast like Tennant and Smith, Moff, RTD etc. Why can't the BBC just air it here. It's stupid!

This is interesting. Are we certain it's not just for later episodes of Doctor Who revisited though?

I'd imagine they've all been made by now. Makes sense to get stuff all at the same time instead of calling people back each month.

Whichever show it is for, it's odd that they would do a telephone interview for something on TV.

Could have just been for research. If they are finding then they will want to speak to as many people as possible who may be in the know.
