There are tons of websites out there about books - review sites, shops, social sites, etc. I'm just being nosy & finding out which ones people use.

I use one called Booklikes to keep a log of my reading. It styles it as an online bookshelf which I am then able to share with people like so: http://poprockgeek.booklikes.com/

I also use Amazon to get recommendations & buy ebooks from Kobo.

Any others?

I never do this with books. I tend not to be influenced by anyone because more often than not I'm pointed in the direction of books I ultimately end up not liking. When it comes to books I generally just sort of get a feel for them. I never buy anything offline. I have to pick it up and feel it and read the back and whatnot. I'm the complete opposite with things like films though, where I am always checking review sites before I watch. I used to be addicted to Ebert's reviews before he passed away. If he reviewed books then I'd probably have been all over them.
