Looks like Peter's The Thick of It co-star Chris Addison is going to be in the finale.

The Doctor Who Twitter feed just tweeted this pic to confirm 3 guest stars in this year's Xmas special:

OK, I've never been able to embed these things, but here's the link to the Children in Need clip from the Christmas special. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p02bxdfnInteresting to see that Clara's in it - I assumed that scene at the end of Death in Heaven was her swansong.

I don't know how to do it from the Beeb website. Youtube, however, does it automatically so ...

I know! I was so happy when I saw Clara - I wasn't very happy with the "send-off" that she seemed to get!

I don't know much about S9 except that Missy will be back and according to a rumour I read today (which prompted me to log back in), a second companion has been cast who will apparently be introduced in Episode 4. Just a rumour, but could be something. Apparently it's someone who has been on the show before, but I don't know if that means in terms of an actor who has been on it before, or a character from a previous episode.
Shona is a name being pushed around a lot, but it could jut be wishful thinking on the part of the rumour pushers

I meant to add 2 things to this thread over the weekend.
1. Toby Whithouse will be writing a double episode for this series.
2 Paul Kaye will be appearing in said double episode.

Arsher Ali, Morven Christie, Neil Fingleton, Colin McFarlane, and Steven Robertson have all also been announced. Neil Fingleton is Britains tallest man (7ft7).
Whithouse' story is apparently Victorian related
