It's the Mirror and they pretty much admit in the article that they are plucking things out of thin air, but might be worth a read anyway.

Full Article

Gaiman said "Would I like a person of colour as the Doctor? Absolutely," and added: "I have no doubt there will be. I know one black actor who was already offered the part of the Doctor, and who turned it down."

Following these comments, The Mirror was contacted by several sources who said they were “100 percent confident” it was Chiwetel.

There we are, then!

Interesting that it's suddenly become Eleven. I've read Gaiman's original blog post & gives no indication of when this happened at all. Also contradicts that whole article Moff wrote a while back in DWM about Matt's casting - I know Moff lies, but he was pretty insistent it was always Matt right from his first audition. Why be so insistent after all this time? Brilliant how these 'sources' always magically appear when there is a bit of gossip going around.

It's just another case of 2+2=any number other than 4 with the British press.

Now and then, every once in a very long while, every day in a million days, when the wind stands fair and The Doctor comes to call, everybody lives.

You notice they don't mention what these people are sources of.  BS?
