She blew up the Sycorax and really pissed off the Doctor, and in return he ruined her career, but was she really in the wrong? They may have been leaving, but look at all that happened to Earth before and since. If it wasn't them it would have been someone else, so was she being hasty or just eliminating one more threat?
Personally, I think she did the right thing for the people and that the Doctor was the one who was out of order.

Perhaps she made the decision in a bit of a rush, but I think she didn't have a lot of options and while the Doctor may not have liked it, her priority has to be the people. She didn't do it to be a cow, she did what she thought was the best, so I think she was right.

One of the things we can usually rely on in the show is that the Doctor knows best. Not always, but mostly. It's fair to say we should usually trust his judgements. However I think this is one of those occassions where he was wrong and his punishment of Harriet was also wrong. She did what was best for the people and he didn't. She doesn't have a priority over other planets and races. She just has to make sure her own is safe, and that's exactly what she did. I'm with her.

I'm not sure whether she was right or wrong, but there are arguments on both sides, and I agree the Doctor over-reacted.

That's the thing I think is worse. The Doctor is so unfairly harsh to her and he has done far worse. Did she really deserve to be brought down in such a way? I don't think so

Of course she was right. The Doctor was acting like a fool and she was doing what was best for the country and ultimately, the world. The Doctor needs to go back and apologise me thinks!

I think she was right and I probably would have done the same. Maybe. I don't know. It's easier to say when someone else is doing it.

I think so. It's a tough call but she made the right choice I think.
