Not one of my favourite species, I do however think that this is one of their best stories so far.

I think they are great, and probably never better than they are in this story. I always enjoy their outings, but I think this is my favourite of them all.

I think the Sontarans are great, and Linx was a fine introduction to them.  Much as I love Strax, I think the Sontarans are much more effective as dangerous warmongers.

I don't feel they've ever really got the Sontarans right since the show returned, and even in the classics they were very hit and miss. There is a lot of potential there, but they rarely live up to it. It was a good introduction for them here though.

They are perhaps the most hit and miss monsters in the whole run. Also, for a clone race they look so different every time that it's laughable.

Generally I like the Sontarans. More in the classics than in the new series. As good as Strax is I think he has watered them down considerably and the only way that can be rectified is if we have a Sontaran story where they kill Strax for being such a wuss (in their eyes). I love the character, but he needs to die now.

Wow that sounds evil Grin

I agree that the Sontarans need to kill him. I liked him at first but his humour is beginning to wear thin and they as a race need to get their threat back.

But that's not for here.

As for this story, it was a decent intro and it got the job done. It's not my personal favourite Sontaran story but it is amongst the top few.
