I'm not a big fan of recasts, and when it comes to past Doctors I don't think it should be done, but with that in mind I don't actually hate the idea of having David Bradley show up as the First Doctor in the anniversary special. In fact, I think it would be awesome, if not a bit random. He is already playing the role in a sense for AAISAT, so it wouldn't be too much of a stretch, but would you be ok with it or do you think it wouldn't be a good idea?

I'd love it.  I'm a bit dubious about recasts just for the sake of it, but as you say, they have him, and he seems perfect.

I'm all for it. I think having an appearance of the First Doctor would be brilliant, and it is easier to swallow because he was recast once already. It wouldn't surprise me at all if Moff has snuck a quick scene in somewhere.

He is also vain, ego-centric and quite mad

There is a clear precedent for recasting the First Doctor (c.f. The Five Doctors and Richard Hurndall). It has gone a little out of favour due to Big Finish refusing to recast any of the classic Doctors but I wouldn't mind, especially an actor the calibre of David Bradley  (I also can't wait to see how Reece Shearsmith does with Patrick Troughton).

It would be great to see some classic representation and I think the least Moff could have done would have been to give us some McGann, but having David Bradley as the Doctor would have been a great idea. I think it is unlikely though, despite the rumours that McGann has filmed a small scene.

Is there? I haven't heard anything about this.
