In the opening scene, why would being at a children's home mean the girl couldn't go home?  There would always be staff there, so it should be a lot easier than kids whose parents were working.

Also, though it's a great moment, would anyone seriously plug dozens of computers into one socket?

To add to this, just because someone is in a children's home it doesn't mean they won't be missed. This isn't the Victorian era. I'm sure procedures are in place
