Anyone manage to get tickets to it? I have three cinemas showing it by me in Cardiff. They went on sale at 9am and when I tried booking online at half past all three were sold out. I'm looking on the bright side though in that by not getting tickets it means that I'm not missing out any of the TV stuff that will be on either side of it, which I would have by driving to and from the cinema.
Also, it has given us a start time. It's being simulcast and the cinemas are listing it at 7:30, so I'm guessing it will be on until 9pm.

Loads of people I follow on Twitter seem to have been successful. I'm planning on watching it at home as I'm not a fan of 3D.
The run time is 75 minutes as far as I know.

That's what I thought but the cinemas are listing it as 90. I asked (just in general and not specifically about DW) if run times included trailers and they said no. Unless the cinema goers are getting something extra, which totally wouldn't surprise me tbh!

I don't have one that's easily accessible, and I really prefer watching Doctor Who in comfort in my living room. I wouldn't mind watching it subsequently in 3D on the big screen, but I'd like my experience of the anniversary episode to be as much as possible like my experience of the first episode (preferably without a major politician being shot the day before).

Ok apparently info from the BBFC has confirmed the run time at the slightly random 76 minutes and 44 seconds.

I looked in to this last night with my friend. Our local cinema want £10 to go watch it in 3D... I decided I'd rather stay in and watch it than spend £10 to go and watch it in 3D

For 3D that's cheap from my point of view - my local cinema would want £10 if it was 2D.

I don't think I've ever paid £10 to go to the cinema... I've never seen anything in 3D before

I've seen several 3D films for well under a tenner, including the last Potter, but those were during the day, not on a Saturday, and not a special event

I saw it at the cinema. Pretty damned good, although some of the cheers when a particular character came on did annoy me a little, and meant I missed little bits of dialogue. Expensive at around £25 for two, but for such a special occasion it was worth it. Some people came out and went back in to watch it again. I'll probably watch it again but only on the small screen.
