This weeks NuWho entry into TIQ is the Season 5, Eleventh Doctor story, The Lodger. A mysterious force blocks the TARDIS - with Amy inside it - from landing, keeping it stuck in a materialisation loop. It's up to the Doctor to work out what that force is, lest Amy be lost forever along with his home. As he investigates, he learns of a house on Aickman Road, with a staircase which people walk up but never come back down. To solve this mystery, the Doctor must pass himself off as a normal human and share a flat with Craig Owens.
The Lodger was the eleventh episode of the fifth series of the revived series of Doctor Who. Based on a comic strip, it was the third instance, after Human Nature and Dalek, of a story from another medium being directly adapted for television. It was also a companion-lite story, like Midnight. This episode showed how good the Eleventh Doctor was at pretending to be a human; he was quite terrible at it compared to his previous incarnation. He also used telepathy in a manner that was also different from his last self. It also provides the first hints of the Silent presence on Earth, though they are not seen until the following season. The next NuWho story will be posted on Wednesday 18th September.

Just a two from me this week. I thought Matt was brilliant and that's where it picks up its marks, but I didn't like craig and I thought the overall story was a bit weak.

I really like this episode. I like how it is a heavy Doctor episode. The storyline isn't brilliant but it is in no way terrible. Yes Craig and Sophie can get quite annoying but I really really love the Doctor in this. 4 from me.

I gave it a 4. I quite like Craig and Sophie as characters, and the plot was pretty good, but they went waaaaayyyyy over the top with the Doctor being clueless about social interaction.

I've given it a 4/5. It's quite amusing and one I quite enjoy on rewatch.

There are a lot of good things about this story, but there are also a lot of things that annoy me about it. For those reasons I've given it a 3

It gets a bit silly and it's not one I ever really rewatch unless I am doing the whole series, but it's not really as bad as some people make out it is. I've given it a 3/5.

My score for this story was 2/5. The whole episode felt a bit like filler and I don't think it was up to the quality of the rest of the season. The Doctor was written not as an alien, but more like an idiot who had never had any contact with humans before, the guest cast weren't particularly likeable and I found the ending to be a bit weak. It wasn't without it's good points, but they were few and far between.
