Definite inconsistency with dating here around Sarah Jane. Saying she comes from 1980 can't be right, but everything around that era is pretty messed up.

Actually, it was later on that was messed up.  The 60s & 70s UNIT stories were normally implied to be slightly in the future - eg Britain had a manned space programme, there was a BBC3 etc.  It wasn't till Mawdryn Undead the dating became inconsistent.

Not necessarily an inconistency, but there's no explanation of how Sarah got to be such a crack shot.  Of course, she'd spent some time hanging around soldiers, so maybe she'd taken the opportunity to get some training.

There is a scene where Sarah Jane mentions that the puzzles in the pyramid at the end remind her of the City of the Exxilons, but she never actually went inside the City of the Exxilons

There were similar puzzles outside to get in, which I believe she saw.

A camera comes into shot when the Doctor is tapping Sarah Jane on the head.

This is one thing I never understand. It's confusing and all over the place, but it doesn't make a huge deal in the grand scheme of things so I don't know why fans obsess over it so much

I don't obsess about it, I just think the original dating assumption makes more sense.

Oh, I wasn't meaning you specifically. Just fans in general. If you look online there are hundreds of pages of debate about it.

The Doctor leaves the hunting lodge without his hat, but then in the next scene he has it again.
