This seems to be the artwork that will be used for the DVD (although Amazon shows it as TBC). It is due out on February 24th 2014 according to Amazon & you can pre-order it now. If you pre-order it from the BBC Shop you can get it with a limited edition slipcase. There is no news on extras, so it possible this will just be a vanilla release.

If you can't wait til February, you can buy it now from iTunes.

Well, it was fantastic to see a great classic story almost complete for the first time since 1968, but I have to say I was underwhelmed by the DVD itself.  Instead of the usual animation for the missing episode, they just had a telesnap reconstruction of the kind Loose Cannon used to do for free, and there weren't any extras - just a trailer. That seems ridiculous for a story so important in DW history.

I haven't bought it. It's the cover. I find it irritating that it's different (though possibly reversable, I haven't checked) and I also keep hearing that it's being re-released with all the trimmings at the end of this year, which I also find annoying. These DVDs don't come cheap and most people will have rushed out to buy it only to end up buying it again for completion. It's been nearly a year, but I will wait it out
