Interesting how many Moff is cowriting. Maybe he's keeping the storytelling more on course than one or two of the last series.

I spotted that too. It does suggest that he's keeping more control this time around.

From what I've read Into The Dalek is another miniaturization episode. Ugh! Don't they ever learn? This has never worked. The Invisible Enemy, anyone? Planet of Giants?

Planet of Giants was actually pretty effective in 1964, though it hasn't aged well.

I've read the script/seen a rough cut. It's not terrible.

Another thing I haven't noticed any comment on is that there are only 12 episodes this series, not 13. Presumably there'll be a Christmas episode too, but it's normally 13 + the Christmas Special.

That was my first reaction, but the last series was 12 episodes plus a christmas special making 13. So I guess they're starting to include the Christmas episode as one of the 13

No, it was 13 + The Snowmen + the two specials (5 episodes in the first section, 8 in the second)
