4 from me. Didn't like the start but it got better as the episode went on Smiley

Like last week, I'm going to wait till I've rewatched it (probably tomorrow) but at the moment I'm thinking probably 4 as well. I liked most of it, and I thought the Fantastic Voyage trope was used infinitely better than in The Invisible Enemy.

Can't quite make up my mind. Still don't like the miniaturization idea, and Fantastic Voyage was being ripped off quite shamelessly, without Raquel Welch as a redeeming feature. Still don't like the idea of a Dalek questioning itself in principle, though I don't think it was as bad as Dalek. and at points raised some interesting ideas. Still not convinced by Peter Capaldi and I think he needs to find his own pace (which probably needs a different kind of story, arguably a two-episode story). I'll give it a three because I think there were some good ideas in there. I can see why some might like it more and some might like it less.

After a second viewing I gave it a 4. It's grown on me a little more, but not to a 5 level. I actually liked the use of the miniaturisation, and I don't mind occasional questioning of the Daleks' absolute evil - as long as they don't change too much in the long run.

I loved it!  Space battles, exploding Daleks, cool special effects - my kind of show!  And I really liked Peter Capaldi's performance as well.  Danny Pink seems like he's going to be an interesting character; I'm looking forward to his first journey aboard the TARDIS.

My first thought, when seeing this was: "Gee, another Dalek-turns-good story. How original." and, while it was still hardly original and it was still a good, fun action-fest, while not amazing.
3/5.
