Focussed too much on Clara and Danny. Some of the dialogue was quite funny but the whole "P.E. teacher" joke wore thin, and in the end The Doctor did come across as more arrogant than usual.

Not bad, not great.  I know the Doctor is supposed to be more alien in this incarnation, but honestly, he's just coming across as more of a jerk.  I don't get all the anti-soldier attitude either; he spent one of his incarnations as a soldier, and he's worked with UNIT without treating them like scum.  The fact that Clara loves him and he treats her well should be good enough for him; she doesn't owe him any explanation beyond that.

I did love the opening sequence though.  Poor Clara!   Grin

I'll watch it again before rating it.  I liked parts of it, but I think it had similar shortcomings to The Lodger - too diffuse, and the Doctor's social incompetence was exaggerated far too much.

After a second watch, I've gone with a 3. I did enjoy it overall, but I still think it had a lot of faults.
