They wont let him have stubble on the covers, I am 100% certain. He always has it in real life, but never for DW stuff. He will be clean shaven for the official pictures I'm sure so you will have to wait for your bearded Doctor Tongue

Big Finish are apparantly back peddling now and saying they didnt mean to say it was a new outfit and sonic, because it isnt, and it was said as an accident.

Hmmmm

Seems even more suspicious now!

Sounds to me like they have deliberately said its not the real thing as a way of making people think there is more to it if that makes sense? A big old marketing ploy

Suspicious?  Undecided  How so?  All it is is a picture of McGann in a snazzy jacket holding a sonic.

There is no way McGann is going to appear in THAT gear as 8 on the telly Roll Eyes BF may have run with him and all kudos to them for that but  I'd be VERY surprised if the BBC allowed any of the incarnations to have their image 'changed'  - absolutely no rhyme or reason for it.

If the 50th anniversary is celebrated as people hope McGann/8 and wig will appear just as he was depicted/remembered. Nothing more...nothing less.

Good publicity for BF though Wink

How do you accidently dresssomeone up and have a new sonic designed for them, then put them on show at a con and tell the world it's a new look for the doctor as an accident? I think it sounds fishy too

I realise that this thread is a bit of a manky old corpse, but the reason I am digging it up is that I just came accross this, which is apparantly a test shot from the Eleveth Doctors original cotume fitting, before Matt said he wanted something else. Anyone know if its the real deal?

No clue if it's 'real' but I like what they went with instead.  Not really loving the look in that picture!

Haha it really does! Tongue

If that is what he was meant to wear then I am glad he put his foot down!

I'd query how old Matt looks in the picture when considering if it's real. To me he looks younger there than he does in 'The Ruby in the Smoke' which predates Who by a few years  - just my opinion though.

As for the costume - if it was a possible Doctor costume I'm also very glad they went for the tweed look  Smiley

Haha...pretty much what I thought when I saw it Cheesy

NO WAY is that anything to do with DW. As others have pointed out Matt looks too young. Nor is that costume a look anyone would dare to attribute to the Doctor and expect to be taken seriously. God...can you imagine? Shocked
