This is probably a ver silly idea, but its never stopped me before. In DW we have had a lot of historical figures turn up. QE1 & 2, Churchill, Nero, Dickens etc, but if you could have a crossover with a fictional character from a book or other show, who would you choose? The reason I ask is because I think, perhaps in a one off capacity, a great companion for the Doctor would be Jane Tennison, the DCI played by Helen Mirren in Prime Suspect. Though I think I would settle for Mirren in any role on the show. She is brilliant

I like the Helen Mirren idea. I have loads of historical figures I would like to see, but cant really think of any fictional ones I would like in the show though. You just know this thread will be full of Star Wars names before long

I have absolutely no idea why but the first name that popped into my head when I read your post was Sylar from Heroes (little bit worried about the way my mind works now!!! - *thinks she may need to seek help*)

Heroes died on it's arse sadly & was cancelled after the latest dismal series. For a show all about people with superpowers, it didn't show enough of people with superpowers using superpowers. Anyway, I digress - fictional character for Doctor Who, eh? How about this one to (literally) get your teeth into.... Abraham Van Helsing

I watched it all but to be honest series 1 is the only one worth bothering with.

I have decided that I want Anya from Buffy to be my fictional guest star. But I want her as a companion. I was just watching a rerun on TV and she gave a speech that reminded me of something the Doctor might say. After much digging online, I found it. I guess I was kinda new to being around humans before. And now I've seen a lot more, gotten to know people, seen what they're capable of and I guess I just realize how amazingly... screwed up they all are. I mean, really, really screwed up in a monumental fashion. And they have no purpose that unites them, so they just drift around, blundering through life until they die. Which they know is coming, yet every single one of them is surprised when it happens to them. They're incapable of thinking about what they want beyond the moment. They kill each other, which is clearly insane, and yet, here's the thing. When it's something that really matters, they fight. I mean, they're lame morons for fighting. But they do. They never... They never quit. And so I guess I will keep fighting, too. This makes me think we need a general quotes thread, so you all read this and I will go make one

Oh. This is easy. J.K. Rowling almost wrote an ep for season 4 too. I would have squeed like a Twilight Fan-Girl. Also, Yoda, Captain Jack Sparrow, Will Smith's Men In Black, and the X-Men This is an excellent thread.

Hermione, or maybe Luna - can't see any of the others working, but each to their own dream

I just mean a Who episode in the Harry Potter world. Pick and choose whoever you actually want to appear.

As a kid I always wanted the jester from Rentaghost to be on Who, looking back I don't think Tom esp would have been very happy with that idea, lol.
As a huge Pratchett fan it would be funny to see the Doctor on Discworld, pref in Anhk-Morpork helping Vimes on up in the Ramtops with Granny Weatherwax XD

I hope for your sake you are not inferring you would like to see that Cumberpillock in DW, because the thought alone is enough to send me on a murderous rampage

This is a really off the wall choice, but what about Columbo? The crumpled Detective and the Time Lord (I am biased because I love Peter Falk)
