Well I loved it!  I thought it was the best episode of the season.  It was funny, creepy, and the dreams within dreams kept me guessing.  Glad to see Clara will be back next season too!

It was really great. I need to watch it again at some point when things are a little less busy but I loved it Smiley

Hovering between a 3 and a 4. The script itself would probably get a 3. If I was a Dream Crab then the one thing I would make sure my victim did NOT dream of was dream crabs! And I really don't know why a ride on Santa's sleigh helped them to wake up. But Nick Frost was great as Santa and sparked brilliantly with Capaldi's Doctor. In fact, all the performances were good. The direction was also good, even though it ripped off Alien. The music was good too. So overall I'll be generous and go for a 4.

I want to watch it again before I rate it - it's a strange story, and I'm not totally sure what I think of it, though I did enjoy it.

The direction was also good, even though it ripped off Alien.

Well, there was a specific reference to Alien, so that makes it more of a homage than a rip-off. Anyway, the plot of Alien was originally a rip-off to start with.

I've watched it a second time now, and I've given it a 4. First time through I found it a little confusing and disjointed. It was much clearer the second time, but I think that's because I knew what was going on that time, so I've taken a point off for that first impression.  Overall, though, I loved it.

A guy named Nick Frost played Santa Claus! There are no coincidences!
Also Nick did such a great an original job of playing Santa, there were so many ways to read those lines and he picked something that to me was hilarious.
