One of the thing I miss about Classic Who is the lack of consistent cliffhangers. Therefore, I have put down what I consider to be the best of the best (obviously I couldn't write them all). If I missed any, just let me know. I'd be interested to know what you think the best is.

I tossed up for a long time between Davros and the levitating Dalek, but I ended up going for the latter because it turns an established cliché on its head. Scaroth is incredibly effective, but the issue there is that there's no reason for the reveal - he seems to be taking his mask off purely to show the camera.

The more I think about Nyki2's comment, the more I think he has a legitimate point and the more I realize my love of City of Death is taking over my life and decisions. OK, not really but a better cliffhanger and one I should have put down is when the alien steps out of the sarcophagus and kills Namin (Pyramid of Mars, Episode 1). Oh, and if you're wondering about that extra vote, I was scrolling down and accidentally clicked the Remembrance of the Daleks option.

Yes, I can forgive City of Death anything, but it's just enough not to make it the best cliffhanger. And I agree about the Pyramids of Mars one.
