Im sorry but I refuse to believe that this is is all for promotion purposes. Why would you go to all this effort and do a big reveal at a convention for something that will never be seen. Its only really his face that gets seen on the audio covers anyway. He is sooooo going to show up in the TV show before long. I can feel it in my bones

It could just be something else to get the fans in a tizz about, but it just all seems a bit suspect so I also think its something more than we are being led to believe

Yeah like I said, they could have some Audio crew member dress up like that, then photoshop McGann's head on it for a CD cover. They didn't have to make him dress up like that. And, if I'm wrong and they did need him to dress up to take pics, they could have done it when he came in to record some audio.

So making it this public and advertised is suspicious to me.

(Especially when the Movie is coming out on DVD in America soon. It's almost as if they are prepping for something )

Honest to goodness, if Eight showed up in the main show it would give me some sort of coronary. The movie was a bit naff, but based on his audios he is one of my favourite Doctors and needs a decent script and extra screen time to show how good he is on screen

That release has been such a long time coming, but your logic is well placed and I agree. They didnt have to make any mention of it at all, let alone parade him around a convention in it. Most people probably wouldnt have noticed anyways. There is something more to this for sure!!

The long hair was never McGann's. He showed up on set with short hair for the movie, and they gave him a wig! So he could put it on again for the CD covers or whatever else he's doing.

In fact I heard a interview that he tried to talk the producers into letting him have short hair (his own hair) they said no that it wasn't "Doctorish enough" then he turned on the TV to watch "Rose" and saw Eccelston with short hair and got upset lol

I've been an advocate of the return of 8 since they first said Doctor Who was coming back.

I haven't heard any of his audios I must confess, but my only issue with his performance in the TV movie was he sounded very similar to his foppish comedy character from the 3 Musketeers movie!

I hope so, but seems weird they wouldn't complete the costume with wiggage if they're trying to show him off. Personally I think Mcgann does look way more Doctor-y with longer hair.

I think he is going to look like a pirate with long hair and that jacket. Shorter, though different to his current hair, is the way forward I reckon

I agree. It all seems to much for it not to be something more than we are being told. Big Finish have apparantly no said that it is official, but not for Big Finish. They keep changing their minds all the time and its making it all seem more suspicious

Ive seen a few fan made pictures with him dressed in the new outfit outside the TARDIS and everything looks right except for his hair. The wig is too much but he does need a different hair cut. I still think this is all too much for just the audios though. Especially as BF said its his outfit but not for them.
