They have apparantly lost some funding from one of the shows backers, so it is now unsure whether a second series will go ahead. Nothing official yet though so this might all just be a rumour still

I wouldnt be surprised. Most of the reviews for it were awful and it didn't get quite as many of the DW viewers as it probably would have liked. 26 episodes though isn't a bad run, even at only one series

I just looked and series 2 is still apparantly in development. Considering its been nearly 3 years since they started making the first series they really seem to be dragging their heels. Those kids will have changed so much by now they are hardly going to look like believable 12 year olds.

After all this time I'll be surprised if they get another series off the ground. It took long enough from making to airing the first series because there was so little interest and now a second series seems to be stuck in development. They may as well call it a day. It wasn't good anyway.

I would imagine that it has probably been unnoficially cancelled. If a new series was coming, especially with the rate that youngsters age and develop, we would have heard something official by now.

I read last week that funding is now in place and that was what was holding it up, and so they will start filming again soon.

I don't think it was particularly popular over here, despite being made here. I'm not sure of reviews in the UK but I'm surprised to hear their making more.

Series 2 is not greenlit. Disney had first refusal on more potential series and apparently dragged out saying yes but then ultimately said no. The second series, according to the showrunner, will be filmed and set in the UK instead of Oz with a different cast.

Is 'not' or is 'now'? I'm assuming the latter.

I don't know why they are bothering. Nobody took to it and because of rights it was totally seperated from Doctor Who. Perhaps moving it here will entice the BBC to come on board and maybe it will end up a bit more like SJA. If that ends up being the case then I'll dip in
