What Doctor Who stories do you actually rather like, that are generally looked down upon by the rest of fandom? I have to admit I am quite the offender. These ones are generally disliked by many, but I really love:

Time Flight
Planet of Fire
Time and the Rani

I cant believe I am saying this either, but The Web Planet and The Happiness Patrol are also a wee bit enjoyable for me too Embarrassed

I've heard a lot of people moan about The Rescue, but I really quite like that one. Two easy episodes with a decent plot. Generally though I am with the rest of fandom on most of my dislikes. I dont mind Planet of Fire though either even if some bits are a bit stupid.

I also quite like Love and Monsters. Hate Peter Kay, but the episode is alright for what it is

I like The Web Planet.  I know it looks a bit tacky by modern standards, but I remember watching it as a ten-year-old and being really impressed by the Zarbi.  Though I can't defend the Optera  Undecided

I have no problem with Love & Monsters until the Abzorbaloff comes in. Don't mind Fear Her much though it's a bit cheesy even by my blind standards. I love Resurrection, I like Twin Dilemma a lot, and I didn't even know there was anything wrong with The Rescue. I thought it was short and sweet.

I also really like The Happiness Patrol, even if the dystopian society they have in it is pretty typical of dystopian society stories.

I also like the Arc of Infinity. And Boomtown.

Resurrection - do you mean of the Daleks?  I'd never heard there was supposed to be anything wrong with that.  It's one of my favourite 5th Doctor stories.

Well there's nothing wrong with it besides the fact that the plot makes no sense. For one thing, the Daleks say they're going to make clones of the Doctor and his companions to send to Gallifrey to wreak havoc but where does Davros come into this?

First it's all rescue Davros! Then they say we need to find a way to beat the Movellans, and next thing you know, it's the Gallifrey clone plan. And they were planning to turn on Davros anyways- why even unfreeze the guy?

But yeah it's a great story in all other ways.

I've always liked The Gunfighters. That story comes in for its fair share of stick but I think it's pretty good. I also love the series 5 Silurian 2 parter and the Ganger 2 parter for series 6, neither of which seemed to go down well within fandom.

I'm surprised! I liked The Gunfighters and the ganger 2 parter. The Silurian one was good, but it lacked the finale punch on the second half. Though I love the redesign, even if it doesn't resemble the originals.

The Ganger story and Silurian story are two of my favourites of recent years. I really don't get their unpopularity. I also like Time and the Rani. Both Rani stories, actually, though neither are particularly popular.

I like both of those two-parters.  I like Mark of the Rani, but I don't really rate Time and the Rani, although I've only watched it once.

I have so many. Most don't seem so guilty now though because they are on others lists, too.
