A couple of rumours are doing the rounds that a BBC4 docudrama is about to go into production about the early years of Doctor Who. It was hinted at in this months DWM and is rumoured to be in the same vein as the 'Road To Coronation Street' one that was on a few months back which showed the earliest actors and writers, producers etc of the show portrayed by actors to explain how it came about. If the Doctor Who one is true it would have actors playing the parts of William Hartnell, Verity Lambert et al.

I hope this is true. I would love to see it and get an insight into how it was made and came to life in the early years

I saw The Road To Coronation Street and it was absolutely brilliant. Odd being on the BBC, but still awesome. I would love them to give the same treatment to DW. It would be absolutely amazing

I would love to see something like this, though I would worry about how much the BBC would gloss over in favour of themselves

Was there ever any more news about this? It was ages ago now, I know, but I still would very much like to see it!

They did a show about Verity Lambert a while back, but it wasn't a dramatisation I don't think. It would be cool if they did make something like this but I haven't heard anything.

It's still apparantly in the works. Rumour is that Gatiss will be writing it.

Now and then, every once in a very long while, every day in a million days, when the wind stands fair and The Doctor comes to call, everybody lives.
