If you could give any Doctor one extra season of stories, which would it be? For me, I would be torn between Eccleston and McCoy. Eccleston was brilliant and I think another series would have catapulted his Doctor to many peoples top spots and McCoy just never got the gig he should have got. He was amazing and his pairing with Ace was brilliant, but by the time the production team got their heads in gear and found their stride the show got cancelled and I think that Seven never really had a fair crack at the whip and another series could have potentially saved the show. What about you?

Eccelston. Absolutely.
Wish he had 3 or 4 seasons in fact.

Eccleston, Pertwee or McCoy for me. Though I would happily watch another series of all of them except Tennant. His crazy right hand, heavy panting and wide eyed 'I'm so serious, take me seriously' expression drove me up the wall by the end of his run

Five or Seven for me. Both ended on highs and could have had a brilliant 'extra' season

Another one for the seventh Doctor would be great - typical of the BBC to cancel it just as it was really getting to be good again.
I'd also love to see another season for the second Doctor - with NONE OF IT GETTING WIPED THIS TIME!!!

I totally forgot about Eight. ITs probably a given for most people, but we need a series of 8 stories

Not sure if I could cope with a whole season of that wig.

All of them apart from 6 and 10, in fact taking a series or two away from them would be a dream come true More seriously, I would have loved another year of Davison, but can see why he left. McGann and Eccleston both deserve a lot more screen time over any of the others, both got a bit of a crummy deal unfortunately

I'd definitely love more from McGann and Ecclestone, but I think I'd pick McCoy, if I have to have just one. That last series was really building towards something that could have been special, and it was never allowed to develop.

I agree completely. Shame that Michael Grade had such a vendetta against the show that he didn't look any further than his own hatred of it to see all the new potential that was there

I'd go with 7 as well - I loved the mysterious air around him, and the Merlin mythos was excellent IMO. He deserved better than "The Happiness Patrol". Look at Fenric, or Ghostlight - absolutely classic.
I'd love them to do a "new" Five Doctors - using 7 - 11. Might seem shocking my leaving out 5, but I think it's been well established that 4, 5 & 6 wouldn't cut it on screen any more. Don't get me wrong - I love Time Crash, just PD is obviously older now, can't be helped. However, I'd find a way to use all 11 in the story somehow, be it archive footage or audio only ala Zagreus.
Sandi, what do you mean about 9 getting a raw deal? I thought he left by choice?

He left by choice, but because he was having problems with some people bts. Such a shame because I would have loved him to have done another season or two.

I liked all the incarnations so would have quite happily have seen more of all of them. Oh except Tom Baker who I really think stayed too long Eccleston is probably the one I would GIVE another season to though

This is a super hard question. We all feel like McCoy got cut off right when things were about to get huge- with that whole Cartmel Masterplan. Then of course 9 could've been fantastic-er, and we all want to see the 8th.
Even though I love 7 the most and 9 is a close runner up, I have to say 8 just so we can have at least one season of each Doctor.

Chris Eccleston was great in the role but I don't think he deserved another season. He chose to leave after all. It would have been good to see more of him but I don't think the show suffered as a result. The two actors I think deserved another season are Colin Baker for being the BBCs scapegoat and for being blamed for so much of the bad stuff that was going on that he really had no control over. Another season for him with great writers and a decent budget would change the minds of so many, I'm sure. The other is Paul McGann because for the people who only saw the movie and didn't follow his audio exploits, they really have no idea just how great a Doctor they are missing out on.
