Anyone seen this? Its a modern day retelling of The Wizard Of Oz that was shown as a three part series. Ive been meaning to watch for such a long time and kept forgetting but then I saw it today for a fiver so I picked it up. Is it any good? I really love the original film so am a bit concerned that this might not be respectful of it, but still excited to see a new version of the story. I shall be tucking into it shortly

I really enjoyed it, but I'm a big Zooey fan so might be bias.  I think you either love her or hate her unfortunately.

I wasn't so keen on their follow up mini series based on Oz, but this one was great Cheesy

I may have to do a rewatch too, it's been a long time since I last saw it.

Alan Cumming is what initially put me off, but it really is worth the watch. Its a good little story. They had it back to back on scifi at the back end of last year so I sat through six hours of it in one go lol Tongue

I didnt really enjoy this. The idea was good but it all got a bit indulgent and ridiculous towards the end

I really enjoyed it. Its a bit odd because it tries to be a retelling as well as a sequel but it was a nice take on the story.

I /love/ this place! Smiley I loved Tin Man but thought it was one of those things that hardly anyone saw, like Shock Treatment. I can't believe this! I absolutely loved it! I have it on DVD! Cheesy

I've seen this and I thought it was pretty good. I liked the twist on the story and love Zoey Deschenel as DG

I read the other day that SyFy have made another one like this based on Alice In Wonderland, called Alice. I really enjoyed this so it might be worth checking out

I saw Alice - it was on Syfy in the UK last week. Didn't have a clue what to expect but I really enjoyed it - some very well known faces in it too Smiley

I saw the first episode and a half when it originally aired, but didn't really get on with it like I did with Tin Man Sad

I've heard mixed reviews about this. I want to give it a look though anyways, but I won't expect it to be as good as Tin Man

I kept meaning to catch Tin Man but for reasons I don't recall it never happened. The same with ALICE - saw it advertised. Even set up sky plus to record it but.... Huh? still haven't had the pleasure Roll Eyes

Guess I'll have to wait for the inevitable reruns Smiley

This may sound SUPER nerdy but when I hear "tin man", I don't think of Wizard of Oz; I actually I think of the 3rd season Star Trek: Next Gen episode called "Tin Man."

You know, the one, right? The episode with the probe? That throws the Enterprise 3.8 billion kilometers away from it? And it's in the Romluan's sector? No? {Sigh} I feel so alone.
