Based on the fact that S4 is the most successful in the ratings so far, and seems to be the most well received, do you think the likelihood of renewal is high? Obviously we have to assume that the cast are happy to stay on in the role, but I dont see any reason why they wouldnt give it the green light. Its broken ratings records now after all Tongue

Assuming the cast want to stay on, I think they would be crazy not to recommission it. It has grown its audience, broken a ratings record and is putting greater stories out there for people. This show is on the up and should stick around for a while yet

Yeah. But if it keeps getting renewed, Lis Sladen will eventually look like how she dressed in "The Nightmare Man" lol

I think it should. I can see it getting to maybe 8 series before its time to call it a day. If they film it the way they have 4 & 5 then at least it doesnt tie them down for years and they wont change much in looks

Id like to think that the BBC will at least make the offer of further series. The show is doing so well that it would be such a shame to let it go

It would be nice to see them continue for a bit, but if it all ended after series 5 at least they could say they went out on a high with the fans wanting more, rather than slowly dying in the ratings and being cancelled

I think we would probably hear within the next couple of months if it is being recommisioned or not. I think it should be though I would understand if the BBC want to wait and see how Series 5 pans out first

Series 4 has had overwhelming positivity directed at it and the viewing figures are well up. Its broken records as well. There is no reason if the cast are interested that they wouldnt do a series 6. On the other hand, series 5 is still up in the air and could totally bomb. It will probably still depend on the performance of that series I would guess unless they commision a sixth series and start work on that before 5 airs

That is just sooooooooooo mean  Tongue

Like everyone else I can't see any reason why the show shouldn't go for a couple more seasons at least. Losing Luke as a regular cast member doesn't seem to have had that much of a negative effect although I'd have to say Lis Sladen deciding to leave would be a major stumbling block - Sarah Jane Adventures WITHOUT Sarah Jane doesn't make an awful lot of sense. Undecided

They couldn't keep it going as SJA without her, but that wouldn't stop them doing a spin-off (of the spin-off).

True. Numerous titles spring to mind Grin
