Young ROBERT BURNS is running through the Forrest. A young girl named ANNA is right behind him in a long yellowish dress.

ROBERT BURNS
Well then you should run faster.
ROBERT laughs as he slows down. ANNA catches up to him, trying to catch her breath back.
ANNA
Please Robert....can we not go back home?
ROBERT BURNS
Come on Anna I have something to show you.
ANNA
But Robert...mum is expecting me home soon.
ROBERT BURNS
Anna we won't be here long..we can look and then go home.
ANNA

ROBERT moves closer and kisses young ANNA on the lips, he pulls away a few seconds later. ANNA looks star struck.
ROBERT BURNS

ROBERT grabs ANNA'S hand and drags her off into the woods.

EXT.OLD CHURCH
ROBERT and ANNA are standing outside an old church. It has been burned down, there is no windows, the roof has been burned down and there are no doors. ROBERT is standing looking out with ANNA behind him.
ANNA
Is that it, a burnt out church?
ROBERT BURNS
Not just a church...there is something inside.
ANNA
But you said we would only be outside!
ROBERT BURNS
I lied a bit....come on!
ROBERT runs into the church leaving ANNA outside.
ANNA

There is a large pause.
ANNA (CON'T)

ROBERT is standing next to a fountain that is the same size as him. ANNA comes running in and stands beside ROBERT, both looking down at the green and pink liquid going around in the fountain.

ANNA grabs hold of ROBERT.
ROBERT BURNS

ROBERT
Last week...I have only shown you it.
ROBERT reaches forward and is just about to touch it when ANNA moves his hand away.
ANNA

ROBERT goes to touch it again when ANNA moves his hand away. This time she falls and her hand hits the water. It splashes up in her face. ANNA moves back trying to get it off her.

ANNA starts to glow a green and pink colour. ROBERT stands back, unsure of what is happening.

ROBERT BURNS
No. I slayed the dragon with just my hands.
SUZIE

SUZIE leans in and kisses ROBERT on the lips. The BAR MAN walks over with a piece of paper in his hand. He slips it on the small wooden table, it's a bill.

Ok George, I sort of spent it for these lovely women but I'm sure we could come to some sort of agreement.

ROBERT walks away knowing this fight is finished.
The TARDIS appears and the door swings open. THE GUARDIAN and SARAH step out to see small brick buildings.

This looks like California in my future.
THE GUARDIAN

SARAH

THE GUARDIAN

SARAH

SARAH
I have a friend, he could help. Keep on the screen I will be right back.
Before SARAH can move the TARDIS start's to pilot itself. SARAH falls to the ground unsure of what is happening.

SARAH reaches up and pulls a lever. The TARDIS comes to a halt. SARAH falls back and hits her head.

ROBERT BURNS is walking down the street, bored of life.
MARY

ROBERT looks up to see a girl hanging out a window of a large house.

THE GUARDIAN is walking through a street filled of different things. There are people, goats and chickens.

A large bleeping sound starts to fill the street.

THE GUARDIAN puts his hands into his pocket and pulls out a small bleeping machine. It's small and has small satellite disks spinning around.

The machine in THE GUARDIANS hand sparks and stops working. THE GUARDIAN looks up, scared at what just happened.

THE GUARDIAN runs off down the street.
Suddenly at the end of the street a large portal opens up and a small Sontaran steps out. It checks the area and lifts up it's arm to speak into its communicator.
GENERAL THRAP
This is General Thrap of the 105th Star squad. I have traveled through a rift in time and have landed on earth.
The Portal starts to glow and then so does GENERAL THRAP. They both just vanish, leaving no trace they were there.

Funny sort of name, ok then since we are introducing each other I am Robert Burns or Robbie to the laddies.
THE GUARDIAN stops in his tracks, looking at ROBBIE BURNS.

THE GUARDIAN hooks up the satalite to the cable from the house. Suddenly he starts to get's electrocuted. ROBERT BURNS stands back, unsure what is happening.

THE GUARDIAN let's go and slides down the roof onto the ground below.

THE GUARDIAN runs round to the front of the TARDIS to see the door just slightly open.

THE GUARDIAN runs into the room to see SARAH lying on the floor unconscious. ROBERT BURNS runs in seconds later to see her too.

A church where there is only fountain in the middle and a spooky computer girl coming out of it.

ANNA

ROBERT BURNS
I never knew I had been here. My best friend Anna went missing when we were playing so many years ago. They said I was too young to remember what happened.
THE GUARDIAN

THE GUARDIAN

All of a sudden THE GUARDIAN stops and fries as the floor fries him. He falls to the ground, still alive but breathing heavily.
ROBERT BURNS

THE GUARDIAN
I'm ok, It's not done a lot.
ROBERT BURNS
Can you get up?
THE GUARDIAN
No I can't, my legs need a minute.
ANNA
99% upgraded.
THE GUARDIAN
Ok Robbie I need you to do something. I need you to shut the ship down.
ROBERT BURNS
I can't.
THE GUARDIAN
Robbie if you don't it kills everyone for hundereds of miles.
ROBERT BURNS
But I can't kill her, I love her!
THE GUARDIAN
You won't kill her, this ship killed her a long time ago.
ROBERT BURNS
But won't they do to me what they did to you?
THE GUARDIAN
Not enough power, drained it with this pen. Now start running and push the big red button.
ROBERT BURNS
Ok...I trust you!
ROBERT BURNS starts to run towards the fountain. He reaches the fountain and leans down to see a small red button on the base.
ROBERT BURNS (CON'T)
I CAN'T DO IT!
THE GUARDIAN
You need too, you need to save the world!
ROBERT BURNS
But I love her, it's too much!
THE GUARDIAN
Think, just think. Please you need too.
ROBERT BURNS looks up at ANNA.
ROBERT BURNS

ROBERT BURNS pushes in the button and ANNA stands in a neutral position.
ANNA

ROBERT BURNS
Wait, self destruct?
THE GUARDIAN
It means we need to get out of here, come on!
THE GUARDIAN gets up and runs over towards SARAH.
THE GUARDIAN
Come on Sarah, we need to go.
THE GUARDIAN helps SARAH up and they both start running towards the door.
SARAH
What's happened?
THE GUARDIAN
You know, the same old stuff like usual. Now keep on running and get into the TARDIS.
THE GUARDIAN stops and turns back to see ROBERT BURNS just stand there.
ROBERT BURNS
I can't come, I just can't.
THE GUARDIAN
You can't stay here. You have a life Robbie, you lost her a long time ago and you moved on..you can do it again.
ROBERT BURNS
If I remembered I wouldn't have but I can't live now. I want to be with her.
THE GUARDIAN
Please just listen, come on!
The Whole room is flashing red now. ROBERT BURNS starts to run smileing at THE GUARDIAN.
THE GUARDIAN
There we go, now come on.
THE GUARDIAN and ROBERT BURNS run out the church together.
FADE TO:
INT.TARDIS.CONTROL ROOM.
SARAH is sitting in the control room. She is a bit dizy, trying to get her memory back. The TARDIS door swings open and THE GUARDIAN and ROBERT BURNS runs in.
THE GUARDIAN
Right then lets try and get out of here.
SARAH
Wait who is your new friend?
THE GUARDIAN
Ah yes you two haven't met. Sarah Meet Robert Burns.
SARAH
You mean the world famous burns?
THE GUARDIAN
That's the one.
THE GUARDIAN is now piloting the TARDIS, the central pannel is moving meaning he is in flight.
SARAH
Oh my god it's so great to meet someone so amazing.
THE GUARDIAN
No flirting, don't want you to become your own grandparents!
THE GUARDIAN pulls the screen closer to him.
THE GUARDIAN (CON'T)
Ships gone, imploded rather than exploded. they did that so their own armies wouldn't get hurt at war.
ROBERT BURNS

THE GUARDIAN
Now then, I think we better show you something. You will enjoy this Robbie, you really will!
THE GUARDIAN starts to pilot the TARDIS, sure where he is going.
Scene Twenty Four. EXT. Princess Street. Future
The TARDIS sounds are heard and suddenly THE GUARDIAN, SARAH and ROBERT BURNS steps onto Princess Street.
THE GUARDIAN
Princess Street, Edinburgh, Scotland and I would say maybe it's 2010.
ROBERT BURNS
Oh my god, this place is amazing.
THE GUARDIAN
Isn't it just.
SARAH
Wait...why princess street?
THE GUARDIAN
Well I landed a tad out but we are not far from where I want to be.
SARAH
And where do you want to be?
THE GUARDIAN
Follow me, it's not too far away.
THE GUARDIAN joins the crowd and heads down the long street.
SARAH
Well then we better follow!
SARAH and ROBERT join the crowd too, following THE GUARDIAN down the street.
FADE TO:
EXT.OUTSIDE MUSEUM.
THE GUARDIAN, SARAH and ROBERT are all standing outside a large museum. Outside has banners and posters advertising "Robert Burns, tressure of Scotland".
THE GUARDIAN
Well then here we go.
ROBERT BURNS
Wait? Treasure of Scotland?
THE GUARDIAN
You are Robert Burns, the most famous Scot of all time.
ROBERT BURNS
But it must be wrong.
SARAH
He isn't lying, you even have a day named after you here in Scotland.
ROBERT BURNS
Oh my god, this is all overwhelming.
THE GUARDIAN
So want to take a look inside?
ROBERT BURNS
No, I can't!
SARAH
Wait, why not?
ROBERT BURNS
Because that is my future, it's going to come to me one day and that day isn't today.
THE GUARDIAN
You are one amazing human being Robert, right then you have seen the sights so lets get you back to your own time.
ROBERT BURNS
Where I belong, my home.
SARAH
Home is where the heart is, isn't it.
THE GUARDIAN
So lets go to where his heart is, home.
THE GUARDIAN places his arm around ROBERT and all three of them walk away.
CUT TO:
EXT.FIELD
The TARDIS is standing with THE GUARDIAN, SARAH and ROBERT BURNS all standing outside.
ROBERT BURNS
This has been such an interesting day, i don't think I will forget it!
THE GUARDIAN
Well make sure you don't write about the events, you know...could destory half of the universe.
ROBERT BURNS
Well then better not.
SARAH
Just going to say I'm sorry about her, I know you loved her.
ROBERT BURNS
I need to move on, i only knew her as a child and it would be better to move on and live the life I was given.
THE GUARDIAN
Well then this sounds like a goodbye.
ROBERT BURNS
And it is. Goodbye Guardian and you Sarah.
SARAH
Bye bye Robert.
SARAH enters the TARDIS.
ROBERT BURNS
So then, the friend I just made just leaving.
THE GUARDIAN
I can't stay, not my thing.
ROBERT BURNS
You need to be out there saving the world, I get it.
THE GUARDIAN
Don't call this goodbye Robert, hopefully I will see you again.
ROBERT BURNS
Will be a pleasure my fair Guardian.
THE GUARDIAN
Until that day.
THE GUARDIAN enters the TARDIS and slowly it vanishes from view.
ROBERT BURNS
Right then, time to get to work. I think I should write something new, maybe I should travel. YES!!!
ROBERT BURNS turns and walks away.
