Ive always loved the character, but after todays episode where it looked like we might actually lose her and never see her again I realised just how much I like the character. We dont often get to see strong female characters of her age and I just think she is wrriten so brilliantly. There are loads of other great things I could say about her, but I would rather read all yours Smiley

I liked her in the classic series, but she's changed in SJA...
For me she's just a character now, not really that great any more, she was a lot more likeable in the classics...

But then again, I've only watched random episodes from SJA so my opinion isn't that solid :p

Ive only seen her in School Reunion, but I thought she was great and from how I have heard people talking about her I can understand why she got her own spinoff show.

I agree. Sarah Jane is awesome and I would love to see her back in the main show again. She had far more Chemistry with Eleven in those 45 minutes than she did in any of the appearances with Ten if you ask me

Great character  Cool

Love the way she's been able to evolve - not only in her own right with SJA but with her inclusions into the main show. I'd like to think we'll see her again in the latter but in the mean time she has a perfect vehicle in the form of SJA which hopefully has at least a couple more seasons in it. Smiley

Sarah Jane Smith: No.The universe has to move forward. Pain and loss, they define us as much as happiness or love. Whether it's a world, or a relationship. Everything has its time. And everything ends.

So sad that we won't be seeing her again, but SJS was in some of the best stories DW produced, as well as with SJA. A truly legendary character in scifi and in general

She never gets enough love. I hope they release what they managed to film.

my daughter adored her (as did I) and said she far preffered the sarah jane adventures to Doctor Who during the specials year, she says it should be left with the last episode being "goodbye Sarah Jane Smith" - I cannot argue with that

The Doctor: Do you know like we were saying, about the earth revolving? It's like when you're a kid, the first time they tell you that the world is turning and you just can't quite believe it 'cause everything looks like it's standing still. I can feel it.

That's how I felt too, honestly.

I haven't seen SJA (although I really need to) but she's amazing in classic Who. She's so beautiful and smart. Definitely my favorite classic companion.
