This thread is to give people a bit of general advice about posting.

When starting a new thread take the time to think about the following:

If it is a link, picture, video take a minute to check it hasn't already been posted elsewhere.

Please do not post the same thread more than once.

What section does the thread belong in? If you are not sure post it but indicate somewhere in the post that you think it may need to be moved - one of the mods will move it to the correct section for you if necessary.

Will it contain spoilers? If yes, state this in the title of the thread.

If the thread is specifically for appreciation or dislike of a character, episode, series, or other aspect make this clear in the original post. This indicates to the mods that they need to be on the lookout for people who post the opposing opinion.

General posting:

Make sure you have read the title of the thread & the original post before you add your thoughts as the thread may have specific rules.

If you really have nothing to say about a certain topic just leave the thread without saying anything - tempting as it may be to leave a funny (to you) remark this could be seen as provocative by another member.

Wherever possible, use the quote function if you are responding to a specific post just to save confusion. If you are unable quote maybe indicate by mentioning the name of the member you are responding to.

Please make sure that all posts are in English so that they can be understood by all users. Many members speak more than one language but English is the common one that can be used and understood by all, so all posts should be made using English.

Above all do not be afraid to express your opinion. We are all here because we love Doctor Who - no one person's opinion is more valid than anyone else's.
