We had our first Trickster-less series of SJA this year but was it a good idea? Everyone, myself included, expected him to show up in the finale but it never happened. Was series 4 the better for it, or did his lack of appearance leave a Trickster shaped hole that wasnt filled by the other new bad guys?

I like the Trickster, but I can't say I particularly missed him this year. I wouldnt have a problem if he came back but I wont mind if he doesnt.

To be honest, the first time I realised he wasnt in it was when Iceman mentioned it. I dont mind either way if he returns

I really like his episodes, but I think they already played with time travel and isolation sucessfully enough in the last series that they didn't need him to do the same thing again. I hope we do see him next year, he is firmly etched in the mind as a SJA villain now I think.

I really like him as a villain and the stories he is in are brilliant but I think his days of being Sarah Janes recurring arch nemesis are past thanks to series 4. That honour now goes to Ruby who was probably the best villain SJ and team have ever faced

Love The Trickster  He has to be the BEST villain in my book to show up in SJA to date. Did I miss him? No. Would I mind if he never shows up again - most definitely. While his influence is pretty much established I'm sure in the right hands he can make endless comebacks and not become staid. Ruby was interesting on many levels and I can see her being used again but I'm sorry 'the stomach' kind of ruined her credability for me  |

Can't believe I never saw this thread before. I am REALLY hoping he comes back in series 5. Series 4 was awesome as it was and didnt need the Trickster, but it would have been nice to have an appearance. He is to Sarah Jane what the Daleks are to the Doctor

The Trickster is cool. Of all the aliens and monsters seen in all the spinoff shows, this is the one I think I would like to see most on DW.

I'd say that if any, he is the most likely candidate. His 'brigade' have already appeared so it wouldn't be much of a stretch. |
