It baffles me that Doctor Who has lasted so long and that I, nor my parents, had ever heard of it until a few years ago.

The show is just one big accident isn't it? It would've only gotten 4 episodes if not for the Daleks which more than quadrupled that number, and Tom Baker's scarf was just a mistake because nobody thought to specify the requirements. I love Doctor Who, and I can't wait for the 50th anniversary next year. I'm hoping that American Whovians will be in for near as great a treat as those who live in Britain- I'm sure they'll be rioting over there.
