Never has an episode of Doctor Who made me cry so much. I got around to watching it about 3 hours ago and I really loved it. It was great having Kylie in it as I am a huge fan and the story was great. When the little red dude died I cried so much and then when Foon took out the angel, and Astrid in the forklift and then her half light body and Mr Copper starting his new life.... The whole thing had me a blubbering mess. I was a bit unsure how the Titanic thing would play out but it was handled really well and the story was great. I loved Alonso Frame too. Russell Tovey is a bit lovely That guy who was going on about his stocks and shares at the end was so awful. He should have died! So is it true that this one didnt go down too well with fandom? I thought it was pretty great and the best of the Xmas Specials that I have seen so far

From the things I have read, most people seemed to lay their issues with Kylie, but I thought she was great and I loved the story

I've yet to hear of an episode of DW that someone doesn't have an issue with one way or the other. As I recall there was a big debate - and I use that word loosely - on why Astrid wasn't just allowed to die. Page upon pages of the stuff. Anyways....a nice enough romp as far as I was concerned. Loved the bit with Queenie and Phil waving on the steps of Buck Palace Yes...not my fav but certainly very watchable

Five from me. I love this story and I just don't see the faults that others complain about. My favourite Christmas special by a country mile

I gave this one a four. Its one of my favourite Christmas specials since the show returned and on the whole it's a great story, though there are some crater sized plot holes. Kylie gets the brunt of the stick for this one but I thought she did a great job

I gave this one a 5. It felt like a big disaster movie which I like and the ending with Mr Copper I thought was really great. It was also the first Christmas Special I really, really enjoyed (one of only 2 or three).

I gave it a two. Some of it was great, most of it was crap.

3 from me. I didn't like wotzisface the villain AT ALL. Kylie was great, Tennant was (as usual) great. We got our first look at the wonderful Wilf, but other than that it was just an ok story.

The first time I saw this I knew very little about Doctor Who. I'd yet to learn all the companion's names. Surprisingly, I didn't like this story. I never thought it bad, but it had failed to make an impression. Some time ago I watched it for the second time and was definitely impressed. Watery eyes and the like, so I give this one a four. It's a great story and the Hosts' design reminds me of the Vocs, whom I adore.
