Roger Lloyd-Pack's death was announced today.  He was best known for Only Fools & Horses and The Vicar of Dibley, but he also played John Lumic in Rise of the Cybermen/The Age of Steel.

The BBC have announced the death of Christopher Barry, one of the great early Doctor Who directors.  Besides a lot of other TV work, his Doctor Who stories were The Daleks (including his handling of the first reveal of the Daleks), The Rescue, The Romans, The Savages, The Power of the Daleks, The Daemons, The Mutants, Robot, The Brain of Morbius, and... er, The Creature from the Pit.

RIP.

The BBC website has announced the death of director Derek Martinus at the age of 82.  Among many other shows, he directed several Doctor Who stories: Galaxy 4, Mission to the Unknown, The Tenth Planet (including filming the first regeneration), Evil of the Daleks, The Ice Warriors & Spearhead From Space.  RIP.

Kate O'Mara as the Rani was the coolest Time Lady ever.  The Mark of the Rani was a much better story than Time and the Rani, in my opinion, but she was great in both.  RIP.

Ray Lonnen died last Friday. Most of the attention was given to his roles in Harry's Game and Z Cars, but he was also in the Pertwee story Frontier in Space.

Linda Bellingham has just died of cancer at the age of 66.  One of the many parts she played on TV was as the Inquisitor, trying to keep the Doctor and the Valyard from each other's throats in the Trial of a Time Lord stories. RIP.
