The BBC have announced the death of Christopher Barry, one of the great early Doctor Who directors. Besides a lot of other TV work, his Doctor Who stories were The Daleks (including his handling of the first reveal of the Daleks), The Rescue, The Romans, The Savages, The Power of the Daleks, The Daemons, The Mutants, Robot, The Brain of Morbius, and... er, The Creature from the Pit.
RIP.

Kate O'Mara as the Rani was the coolest Time Lady ever. The Mark of the Rani was a much better story than Time and the Rani, in my opinion, but she was great in both. RIP.

Linda Bellingham has just died of cancer at the age of 66. One of the many parts she played on TV was as the Inquisitor, trying to keep the Doctor and the Valyard from each other's throats in the Trial of a Time Lord stories. RIP. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-29685903
