Ive seen this type of thread on other forums so this place should have one too. Basically, guess the ratings. One for overnights and one for officials. There. That was easy wasnt it Overnights - 9.4 Officials - 10.1 Im hoping for more but viewing for pretty much everything has been down in 2010 so its more a reflection of the viewers rather than popularity

Ooh another new section. This place is getting huge.
I'm going to go with
11.2 overnight 12.2 official.
I dont know how the ratings work with timeshift and iPlayer and stuff, so thats my 'watch on the night' prediction.

I am going to aim a bit lower and hope its an underestimation.
9.3 Overnights 10.2 Officials
I do, however, think it will be well over 12 with all the timeshifts taken into account

I'm thinking 8.9 overnights and 9.7 officials for BBC1 and HD combined but without timeshift

I think people are seriously underestimating the power of the Christmas Special. The previous ones have done so well and I think this year will too. It doesnt have any real direct competition. I call....
11.4 overnights 12.1 official
For reference, here are the previous ratings.
The Christmas Invasion - 9.84m The Runaway Bride - 9.35m Voyage Of The Damned - 13.9m The Next Doctor - 13.1m The End Of Time - 11.57m
I would be very surprised if we see anything under 11m on officials. The reason TEOT is lower is because it was the first year it was shown on the HD channel, splitting the audience somewhat, but those figures werent consolidated otherwise it would have been 12.4 million and the most watched show of Christmas Day.

The BBC now count HD and BBC one together as long as they are shown on the same day as apposed to the way they did it before where it had to be simulcast or something, so people watching it on the HD channel shouldnt make any dent in the ratings

HD figures are rising all the time too and as I said there isnt really any competition. I think it is up against Emmerdale which will be the significant other but it should beat that I think

Roranicus is the closest so far. She chose 10.6 as a guess for the overnights and it came in as 10.3

Now and then, every once in a very long while, every day in a million days, when the wind stands fair and The Doctor comes to call, everybody lives.
